Amy Mayers is a researcher and creative strategist who helps mission-driven organizations, leaders and entrepreneurs translate their vision into reality. Her passion is working with innovators who are creating new models to take the world into a healthier, more positive future.

Amy delights in the discovery phase of projects. She considers herself a collaborator and co-creator, using design thinking-inspired methods to help her clients frame challenges, assess their resources and identify possibilities. Her insightful questions and big-picture focus help clients uncover assumptions and patterns that stand between them and new approaches to old problems.

Amy has worked with a wide variety of nonprofits, advocacy organizations, associations, unions and the U.S. Census Bureau, both on staff and as a consultant. She earned a B.A. in political science from the University of California at Berkeley and specialization in design thinking and innovation from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. She lives in Washington, DC, with two orange tabby brothers. With friends scattered around the world, she speaks a mélange of English, French, Hebrew and Italian that no one can completely understand.
