Michelle Doan, People and Organization Advisor and Leadership Coach with Evolve Impact

Michelle Doan, ACC is a people and organization advisor and leadership coach who brings more than 15 years of experience in HR and talent leadership to her work with leaders and organizations. She combines coaching with practical experience building teams, developing leaders and designing the people systems that support organizations as they grow and change.

Michelle has spent her career working at the intersection of people, leadership and organizational performance. She works with executives, managers and team leaders to strengthen their leadership capabilities and with organizations on people-related challenges including talent strategy, employee development, organizational effectiveness and change. Her coaching style is grounded in empathy and compassion and helps clients recognize their strengths, navigate challenges and make choices aligned with their goals and values.

Over the course of her career, Michelle has held HR, talent, learning and business operations leadership roles across organizations of different sizes and stages, including Alarm.com, EnergyHub, JLL, The Advisory Board Company and Target. Her experience spans both large enterprises and growing technology organizations, giving her firsthand perspective on how people systems must evolve as organizations grow and change.

That experience gives Michelle an unusually practical perspective on the systems surrounding individual leaders. She has worked across succession planning, talent development, employee relations, organizational change, leadership development, learning strategy and team building. At JLL, she helped implement succession planning and leadership development and supported employees through an acquisition. At The Advisory Board Company, she led learning and professional development programs serving more than 3,000 employees. Her experience spans technology, retail, real estate, healthcare, education and consulting.

Michelle is also an experienced educator. She served as adjunct faculty at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, where she developed curriculum and workshops supporting students as they prepared to enter the workforce and received a Distinguished Faculty Award.

Michelle is an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and a graduate of New Ventures West’s Professional Coaching Certification program.
